February 1st is Imbolc, the mid-point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. The Celtic festival of Imbolc translates to the belly of the Mother and is symbolic of the new life of spring beginning to stir in the belly of our Earth Mother. Traditionally Goddess Brigid was honored as she is associated with fertility, prophesy, as well as crafts, home healing, poetry and fire. The spirit of fire is what moves us ahead through these final days of winter.
I am calling us together as women in community to gather the seeds that we are called to sow both in our real gardens and in the metaphorical gardens of our lives. We will be crafting dreamseed pouches together and singing to our seeds as we do so.
Where our morning together will lead…
Free spirited body prayer practice: Movement as a prayer offering
Dream seed Crafting (all supplies are provided): Crafting our dream seed pouches for the year ahead
Seed Blessing: Bring your seeds that you will be planting in your gardens and/or those that you have been sitting with all winter for a blessing. An impromptu seed swap is welcome to happen naturally!
Song Circle: I will lead us in a few songs together so that we may amplify our voices and connect with the Sacred Spirit of Song as our voices and music shape the gardens of our lives. Please bring a poem or a song you love to sing that is uplifting and life affirming along with a shaker, drum or anything that makes music (there are not requirements for attending).
Exchange $68
For those who have a financial hardship please reach out for an opportunity to support this gathering before or after as a full or partial honorable exchange. (2 spaces available).
